Please join us for a day of service and fellowship! The day will begin at the FWCOC Resource Center. The service activities will take place from 9:45 am to 11:15 am at the Resource Center. During this time, we will be preparing for outreach to college students at TSU and UH. We kindly ask for your assistance in writing encouraging notes to students and packing “Care Bags” that will be distributed on April 30th. These Care Bags are meant to uplift students and support the growth of the Church of Christ Campus Ministry. Transportation to TSU or UH will be provided, and you can sign up at the Resource Center. Following the service activities, there will be a screening of the movie “The Forge,” an American Christian drama focusing on forgiveness, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Resource Center. You are encouraged to invite your family and friends to join. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided. Additionally, there will be a special appeal for Shriners Hospital Texas. Please consider bringing hygiene items such as deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine care products, and face wash to support sick children and their families. A collection box will be available in the gym. After the movie screening, we will gather for a dining fellowship at 2:00 pm at Saltgrass Steakhouse, located at 11900 I-10 East Freeway. Lunch expenses will be covered individually. Participants can enjoy a 10% discount by presenting their AAA or AARP cards.
